PRETORIA (IRNA) -- Namibian Prime Minister Nahas Angula said on Tuesday that the recent report by IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei on Iran's nuclear activities had some very positive points and there is no reason to cast any doubt on the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities.

The Namibian premier made the remarks in a meeting with Iran's outgoing Accredited Ambassador to Windhoek Mohammad Ali Ghanezadeh.
As an independent country, Iran should, like other independent states, benefit from nuclear energy for peaceful purposes, he said.
Lauding continued cooperation between Iran and IAEA, he called for the continuation of such cooperation to help resolve remaining issues.
Namibia backs Iran's stands on human rights and welcomes the expansion of mutual cooperation at international level, he said.
Given the two sides untapped economic potentials, he called for expansion of economic cooperation between the two countries.
Iranian accredited ambassador, for his part, said Iran welcomes expansion of ties and cooperation with Namibia.
He called for formation of Iran-Namibia parliamentary friendship groups to bolster and broaden ties between the two nations.
